UTS Cheviot National & Keith Knox RallyStage One: It was really great it get back into the car today. For those of you who don't know me that well, it hasn't been the greatest of our seasons and after the last rally we decided to send the engine off for a rebuild. The time flys by I can tell you. It only seems like yesterday and we were drowning our sorrows at yet another mechanical breakdown and retiral. This was going to be the final rally of the BTRDA Asphalt Rally Series and we were determined to see the season out with a bang. And bang it did. We set off a flyer. Up the demanding hill, this was the start of a difficult rally in challenging conditions. This rally consists of three championships and the odd individual competitor. The first few teams up the hill really set the pace with their ex works cars (over £300,000 per car) but I know its hard to believe but we weren't that far off the pace in our little mini, the engine rebuild and gearbox change really seemed to put life in the old girl.
![]() Alas this great start wasn't to last. Towards the end of the first stage the throttle went, I couldn't believe it we had put all the effort and pulled out all the stops to get to this rally as best prepared as we could and this happened. End Of Stage One Class Positions:
