Brosis Motorsport - Tarmac Rally Mini's Power Plant

The Power Plant - Barrel Throttles

Our power plant was built by Mike Barrett of MBE, Lincoln.

Tel: 01522 522244. It's definitely a one off and rather special, as you will see from the following spec.

So what is the engine made up of?

We needed to build an engine that would not only develop mega bhp, but also produce truck loads of torque.

Specification

1400cc A+ block, fitted with forged race pistons.

Cross drilled steel crank.

Arrow race con rods.Modified Arden 8 port cylinder head.

Race cam for above head.

Competition followers and aero spec alloy push rods.

Ultra-light steel flywheel and back plate.

Paddle clutch plate.

1.5:1 ratio full roller rockers.

MBE roller barrel throttles with 8 fuel injectors. ITG air filter.

Webcon  Alpha Plus engine management system - fuel and ignition.

4-2-1 exhaust manifold.2" stainless steel exhaust system with one forward and twin rear boxes.

Now have a look at the big brakes needed to slow this monster down!
